Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University: School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. Today, coast to coast, more than 260 chapters and over 220,000 members support the goals and ideals of the Fraternity.

San Diego Alumni Chapter

The San Diego Alumni Chapter was re-activated in 2008. As a chapter, we are continuing to grow and develop. This year we're continuing our focus on expanding our alumni membership in the San Diego area and strengthening our collegiate relations.

Not only do we have a monthly San Diego High Tides (Happy Hour) every 3rd Thursday of the month, we strive to always have at least one other event each month. Over the summer we had a water sports day, went bowling, had a representative go to GCC in Washington, D.C., and had members run in a 4 mile run benefitting the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation. In October, we had our second annual Family & Friends BBQ, spent our High Tide at a comedy club, and did a joint community service with Iota Pi.

As you can see, there's always something going on in San Diego! For more information about us, please continue to browse our website, or contact us at sandiegoalumnichapter@gmail.com
